02 May (Thu): Galveston, TX. Originally scheduled to pull out this morning, a “something just doesn’t feel right” premonition overpowered us and sure ‘nuff the weather along our route east into LA and MS had deteriorated into daily severe thunderstorm conditions, high winds and 1"- 2" of rain forecast into Friday night. Our Guardian Angel, my little sister Linda (d 1950) sent the message to delay our departure to Saturday morning. Trust your instincts for they come from Angels whispering in your ear. |
