01 May (Thu):Grand Canyon, AZ. Seven months of very hard work is paying off as we’re now 8.54 boots on the trail miles (2 hikes). Although I feel “slothful” my titanium hip is performing to specs. Additional inspiration: Today on the trail we met a couple, he 91 years, she 93 years, who cheered us on. Like me, 13 years ago she shattered her hip and like us their active life has resulted in multiple serious injuries and surgeries but none stopped them, the keys are a positive attitude and “motion is lotion". |
