11Dec (Wed): Port Isabel, TX. Exactly three months ago today in this order = diesel fuel leak, under coach to fix, wrong socket size, rolled out, stood up, vertigo, fell, broke right hip, 911, ambulance, ER, surgery, titanium implant, ICU, wheelchair, two weeks hospital rehab, home, walker, trekking poles, ongoing clinic therapy, daily workouts, doing well. Lessons learned: (1) listen to wife = “Honey, get up slowly so you don’t fall down and hurt yourself.”, (2) start all projects with correct size tools. |
